Managing Everyday Money and Staying Safe Against Scams(SL@AACP) is a programme by Singapore National Silver Academy (NSA) that aims to encourage seniors in the Active Ageing Centres (AACs), aged 50 years and above, to participate in programmes where they can age actively through learning and connecting with other seniors.

Course Objectives

  • Be able to recognise signs of common scams
  • Be able to apply self-protection guidelines
  • Be able to describe the process of reporting a scam incident
  • Demonstrate the ability to make sound decisions pertaining to saving, spending, and borrowing money
  • Practise the process of budgeting

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to make sound decisions on saving, spending and borrowing money. Participants will also learn to recognise common signs of scams and take precautions to stay safe.
